The situation in Greece – update 1 July


Our SOS Service Office in Greece also serves as Consul of Western Crete for Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and yesterday, with the support of the Nordic embassies, we hosted a meeting with representatives from all the major tour operators. The purpose was to share information about the situation and coordinate a common approach to assist all Nordic travelers in Greece.

Update on the situation in Greece


Our local SOS Service Office reports that our operations in Greece run as normal. Until now there are no signs that credit cards are not working for payments in restaurants, shops etc. Likewise there are no signs that medical providers ask for cash payment for treatment. SOS International’s system with GOPs and cashless services run as normal.

MERS-CoV outbreak in South Korea


Currently there is a minor outbreak of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) in South Korea. Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) is a viral respiratory disease caused by a coronavirus (MERS‐CoV). Typical MERS symptoms include fever, cough and shortness of breath.

The situation in Greece


SOS International is following the economic situation in Greece closely.  At the moment it is business as usual and there are no changes in operations in regards to air traffic or health facilities.
