COVID-19 antigen and antibody test

Antigen test

In collaboration with the Danish Regions and Charlottenlund Lægehus Medicals Nordic, SOS International offers free COVID-19 antigen tests to citizens (holders of Danish CPR numbers).

Initially, the offer of free testing is valid up to and including 31 January 2021.

A quick and accurate test is a crucial tool in the fight against COVID-19. SOS International’s COVID-19 antigen test is a supplement to the public testing strategy.

We test whether a person has coronavirus in his og her body here and now – performing a so-called antigen test. Within 15 minutes, the test shows whether a person is infected with COVID-19.

Antibody test

SOS International also offers an antibody test that shows whether the person has formed antibodies to COVID-19 and, thus, has a greatly reduced risk of contracting another COVID-19 infection. Antibody testing is not part of the agreement with Danish Regions about free testing.

Do you need an antibody test or an antigen test without a Danish CPR number? Book an appointment on this page and please pay in advance via this link

About the COVID-19 antigen test
SOS International uses antigen tests from the companies Biosynex and SD Biosensor. Both tests are CE-approved and among the Danish health authorities' recommended antigen tests.

The test results are handled to the health authorities, and we continuously make sure to coordinate our efforts in the best possible way in relation to the official test strategy.

Who is SOS International?

  • The test consists of a nasal swab
  • Cancellation must be made no later than six (6) hours before your appointment

A safe testing experience

We have your data under control and our medical standards are second to none.

SOS International is an experienced, quality-minded supplier of travel and medical assistance to Nordic insurance companies.

About the COVID-19 test

  • Produced by BioSynex and SD Biosensor.
  • CE approved and among the Danish health authorities' recommended antigen tests.
  • Quick response. The result of the test is available within 15 minutes after the test has been performed.
  • The test has a sensitivity (the percentage of proven positive tests that are correctly identified as such) of 99% and a specificity (the percentage of negative tests that are correctly identified as such) of 96%. This means that false positive tests are not possible. No test is 100% accurate, but this test has a high degree of reliability close to that of the laboratory tests that are used in a public context.
  • Included in the service is a personal “COVID-19 passport” (if needed) and information material.
  • SOS International cannot guarantee that our COVID-19 passport can be used as valid test results at all travel destinations. We recommend that you keep up to date with local travel advice.
  • A COVID-19 quick test will only diagnose if a patient has COVID-19. Hence, the test is not a general diagnosis based on the symptoms experienced by the patient and therefore not comparable to what he or she would receive from his or her own general medical practitioner
