SOS International Sustainability Report 2020
A strong commitment to the protection of personal data; a new strategy period with strengthened focus on sustainability; and zero tolerance of any acts of discrimination in the corporate culture. These are some of the issues included in the Sustainability Report 2020.
SOS International continues to support the notion of a sustainable development of society. An ethically responsible and sustainable business conduct is an important part of SOS International, and our efforts in 2020 are a testament to this.
Our six selected UN Sustainable Development Goals and our support of the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact, have continued to foster and structure our work on improving our positive impact within our signature areas. Our efforts in 2020 were characterized by the strengthening of our greenhouse gas accounting by implementing the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. This provides us with a solid foundation to build further on in 2021.
One of many important topics in SOS International is the protection of personal data. In 2020, we obtained our new certification in ISO 27701 Privacy Information Management. This certificate is a tangible proof of our strong commitment and continuous efforts to protect personal data.
In 2021, we will enter a new strategy period which will include a strengthened strategic anchoring of the Sustainable Development Goals. 2021 will also be characterized as a year where we will focus on our future workspace and work environment.
This includes fostering our corporate culture of zero-tolerance for any acts of discrimination or harassment. The well-being of our employees is paramount, and a non-discriminatory work environment is a given when working at SOS International – both now and in the future.
