SOS International to perform quick tests in four of the five Danish regions

After 1 February, SOS International will test residents in the Capital Region, Region Zealand, the Central Jutland Region and the North Jutland Region. This was established today when the Danish Regions announced which providers of the COVID-19 quick test will supplement the public test capacity until 1 May at the earliest.

- We are incredibly proud that we continue to play a part in testing the Danes, and increasingly so, during a time when the pandemic has created such great challenges for our society, says Karin Tranberg, Executive VP, SOS International.

Since 16 December, SOS International has collaborated with the Danish Regions and the subcontractor Medicals Nordic in offering free quick tests to residents from test centres at Frederiksberg, in Aarhus, Aalborg, Esbjerg, Holte, Charlottenlund, Risskov, and the Central Station in Copenhagen. Most recently and in collaboration with Dagrofa, SOS International and Medicals Nordic have set up mobile test centres at Meny supermarkets at a number of Zealand locations.

- We are very grateful that we are now able to continue our work with testing as many as possible. During the most recent restrictions, we have made an effort to find new ways to go out in mobile test vehicles and offer quick tests to Danes in those areas where they already go, albeit that society is partially closed down, says Karin Tranberg.

SOS International draws on many years of experience in helping and providing assistance when it is needed. Part of the business of the company, travel assistance, is at a standstill while the pandemic has put a stopper in travel activities. It has, therefore, been natural for SOS International to use resources on playing a part in the fight against COVID-19 by offering reliable quick tests.

SOS International has offered quick tests since 29 September.
