The purpose and scope of this policy is to ensure that SOS International continually strives to enhance the company's environmental management system and overall environmental performance for the SOS Technical Division. The scope of the environmental management system therefore encompasses all activities and stakeholder interests (internal as well as external) related to SOS International's roadside assistance services. Furthermore, the policy ensures management commitment to effectively manage our environmental impacts.

SOS International commits to fulfil our environmental obligations and sustains a continual improvement of our environmental management system in order to enhance the environmental performance. The SOS environmental management system describes how we control and manage our environmental impact. Furthermore, the management system determines our risks and opportunities regarding the interests of our stakeholders as well as the environmental aspects of our activities, products and services.
Our environmental commitment relates to the following key areas:
- Environmental requirements for daily operations
- Environmental requirements for network and suppliers
- Environmental requirements for SOS towing stations
- Environment, Health and Safety
- Waste management, including recycling
- Energy consumption from our offices
SOS International regularly collects and reports data based on key performance indicators, which support our environmental goals and strategy. We actively manage and adjust our environmental approach and actions to fulfil our environmental targets and objectives. Furthermore, we ensure that we follow up on our environmental targets and objectives. The policy extends our environmental principles in the SOS International Company Code of Conduct and in the SOS International Supplier Code of Conduct. Our suppliers are required to comply with our Supplier Code of Conduct and the environmental impact is always taken into consideration in the selection of a supplier.
