Being part of SOS International

At SOS International, our purpose is to help people. Whether it’s illness while traveling, a car breaking down, or a personal crisis, we are ready to be the guiding hand that makes all the difference in a difficult time.

Whether you join our administration or our 24/7 alarm centers, together with your colleagues you will be helping to make a real difference for others.

A professional, informal culture
When you become part of SOS International, you’ll experience a culture without sharp elbows. Guided by our three values — We Care, We Share, We Dare — we work every day to become better at collaborating and showing empathy for everyone who relies on our services.

You’ll find an informal atmosphere where colleagues care about each other’s well-being, are passionate about our mission, and where management is approachable. There are no ivory towers here, and no one is too important to talk to others. In fact, our executive team sits in the open office space — people just like the rest of us.

Hannele Koskinen

Team leader at the alarm centre, Stockholm, employed since September 2021.

"Time has gone so fast ever since I started at SOS International! I started as an assistance coordinator at the alarm centre, and in just seven months I became a team leader.

The coolest thing about my job is, that I am needed and that my words and my actions make a difference. When we help customers with urgent insurance matters it is great to see how my colleagues work together to give the best experience possible. The most motivating thing about this job is that I can see how far I can take myself and my team if I put in the work and spread my knowledge and kindness. Our working environment is a lot of fun with laughs and a great atmosphere every day. Without my colleagues it would not be the same at work"

Mads Peter Lindberg Sundgaard

Software Developer, IT Development, Aarhus, employed since 2019

"I see SOS International as a company that focuses on developing new solutions for our customers within IT and I experience that I have plenty of opportunity to influence the development.

I feel motivated in my work when I am presented with a problem and, as a developer, I need to find a good technical solution without a lengthy description of requirements. It is cool that, within the team, we share the responsibility for prioritising between developing new solutions or improving existing ones. I find that feeling enthusiastic about the jobs that I work on is easy when I can see how they can improve our customers’ experience."

The Recruitment Process

A typical recruitment journey at SOS International consists of four stages, where together we determine whether you’re the right fit for the job. Below, you can read more about what to expect when you apply with us.

1

Evaluation of applicants

When the deadline for application has expired, we evaluate all the applications and select the candidates we want to invite to a first interview.

2

The first interview

During the first interview, you will preferably meet with your potential manager and have a talk with him or her. The purpose of the first interview is to align the expectations of both the employer and the candidate. Based on this interview, the manager selects two or three applicants for a second interview

3

The second interview

Prior to the second interview, you may be asked to fill out a personal profile analysis. The analysis is used as a tool to dig a step deeper into the job description. Upon agreement, we will contact some of your references as a part of the overall assessment.

Offer of Employment

Congratulations — you got the job! The final step is to take care of the practical details. We’ll align on the terms of your employment and sign the contract. Then all that’s left is to look forward to your first day in your new role.
