SOS International hires Jakob Andersen as CIO
Jakob Andersen, who comes from a position as CIO at the Danish pension company Velliv, will be the new CIO and join Group Management at SOS International.
It is a highly experienced and competent CIO who takes on the responsibility of leading SOS International well through the digital transformation, which is a cornerstone of the assistance company's strategy towards 2027.
- I am very much looking forward to having Jakob on board. I have come to know him as a mature leader who is also professionally strong. Jakob brings concrete and relevant experience that equips him very well for driving the digital transformation at SOS International, says Jan Sigurdur Christensen, CEO of SOS International.
Digital transformation plays a key role in SOS International's strategy, and Jakob Andersen's experience in leading in a highly skilled IT organisation has been crucial in the recruitment.
Jakob Andersen emphasises that he is motivated by being part of a transformation where he can contribute to making a difference:
- I have an impression of SOS International as a very professional company that takes its mission seriously and lives it out throughout the organisation. In addition, I have gained an impression of SOS International's ambitions regarding digitalisation and am very pleased with the way it is anchored in the strategy. It testifies to great commitment, says Jakob Andersen.
In addition to Velliv, Jakob Andersen has been employed by PFA Pension, Sopra Steria and PA Consulting Group, among others. He graduated from Copenhagen Business School and holds an Executive MBA.
Jakob Andersen replaces Henrik Bilgrav, who has been interim CIO at SOS International since March this year.
