New TV Series Shows How We Help
This autumn, the new documentary series "SOS - Danskere i nød" (SOS - Danes in Distress) takes viewers behind the scenes at SOS International. Over eight episodes, the series follows real-life cases and shows how we help travellers when illness or accidents turn their trip upside down.
The series premieres on HBO Max in week 42 (14 October) and will also be broadcast on a number of TV channels across the Nordic region.
SOS - Danskere i nød follows doctors, nurses and employees at our travel assistance alarm centre as they help travellers facing illness or accidents abroad.
The series demonstrates how SOS International works across borders and through an extensive international network to provide the best possible assistance and arrange safe repatriation when travellers need help far from home.
In the first episode, viewers meet golf tourist Hans, who, following a sudden illness, must be flown home from Mallorca by air ambulance while his family remains in shock. The episode also follows injured skiers in Austria as they are assisted and brought home.

SOS - Danskere i nød is produced by Monday Media and was filmed between February and September 2026.
