SOS International delivered the best result in the company’s 64 year history in 2025, reporting a profit before tax of DKK 92 million. This represents an improvement of DKK 36 million compared with the previous year and is the outcome of several years of targeted efforts to strengthen the assistance company.

The result comes in a market characterised by increasing competition and cost pressure, but also by high activity in both travel assistance and roadside assistance.

Jan Sigurdur Christensen, CEO of SOS International, says:

“Financial robustness is essential for us to navigate an uncertain market while continuing to invest in our employees, digitalisation and sustainability. This is why the result for 2025 is both important and highly satisfactory.”

Strategic direction and Nordic collaboration

Jan Sigurdur Christensen highlights that the result is driven by a clear strategic course:

“In 2025, we continued working with our transformation strategy, Going in One Direction. Among other initiatives, we have focused on establishing clearer shared priorities across the organisation, simplifying our processes, and strengthening our ability to deliver on our strategic goals.”

At the same time, SOS International has strengthened its commercial efforts across the business and intensified collaboration across the Nordic region.

“Closer Nordic cooperation allows us to better leverage shared competencies, experience and economies of scale,” says Jan Sigurdur Christensen.

Digitalisation and AI strengthen efficiency

A key part of the strategy is to ensure that SOS International is prepared for the future, with digitalisation playing a central role.

“Our investments in digital solutions have enhanced our operational performance, and artificial intelligence is increasingly contributing to optimised workflows, improved decision-making and greater efficiency across the organisation,” says Jan Sigurdur Christensen.

Continued Strong Demand for Travel Assistance and Roadside Assistance

More than 1.2 million people were assisted by SOS International in 2025, and the financial result is partly driven by high activity in both business areas: Travelcare and Mobility.

In the Travelcare division, 2025 was marked by continued strong travel appetite among Nordic travellers and a growing interest in travelling year-round. Activity in Travelcare remained at the same high level as the previous year.

At the same time, demand for roadside assistance across the Nordic region was high in 2025, driven by increased mobility and rising expectations for fast, reliable and digitally supported services.

Furthermore, the 2025 result is positively impacted by the decision made in 2024 to close the Healthcare business division.
